The DC Metro Area MSU Alumni Association (MSUAA) is proud to be a member of the Washington DC Area HBCU Alliance—a coalition of alumni associations representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Our chapter actively participates in Alliance programs that address resource disparities, support hunger relief initiatives, promote health and wellness, and provide financial assistance to students.

Our chapter liaisons serve on various Alliance committees and help plan the annual HBCU 5K Race, a signature event dedicated to raising scholarship funds for students attending local HBCUs.

Embrace the Chapel, also known as the "Adopt a Chapel" program, has been a rich tradition here at the Morgan State University Memorial Chapel. This is where alumni organizations and groups get the opportunity to engage and support the students by joining them in worship service. It is an enriching experience for all involved! 

The DC Metro Area MSUAA proudly takes part in Explore Morgan Day, an event designed for prospective students to experience the vibrant campus life at Morgan State University. During this special day, future Bears can tour the campus, engage with faculty and current students, and discover the academic and extracurricular programs that make Morgan unique. Our chapter is committed to supporting this initiative, helping students and families learn more about the university and the benefits of joining the Morgan community. https://www.morgan.edu/openhouse

The DC Metro Area MSUAA actively supports the Morgan State University Admissions Office by representing the university at local college fairs throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Through these outreach efforts, our chapter helps prospective students and families learn more about Morgan State University and the opportunities available, fostering connections and encouraging future Bears to join the Morgan community.
